Jonathan studied biology at the University of Regensburg, there he obtained his bachelor’s degree in 2016. He continued his studies in Regensburg and obtained his master degree in Biology in 2019. In his master’s thesis he investigated the evolution of Rab and SPIRE protein interactions in actin mediated vesicle transport. In July 2020 he started his PhD in the Structural bioenergetics Group where he works on the structural characterization of complex I assembly intermediates to shed more light on the molecular details involved in this process.
