Noor Afsah Faseeh

Noor obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. She subsequently worked in malaria research and molecular diagnostic laboratories, gaining experience in molecular biology, genetics, and clinical diagnostics. She later enrolled in the international Master's program in Molecular and Developmental Stem Cell Biology (iSTEM) at Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. Her research interests include stem cell biology, cellular reprogramming, regenerative medicine, and the molecular mechanisms underlying human disease. In April 2026, she joined the Stolz Lab, where her Master's thesis focuses on investigating the factors governing ER-phagy and identifying the protein assemblies that mediate functional interactions between the endoplasmic reticulum and other cellular compartments.
