Borna was born and grew up in Zagreb, Croatia. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in the spring of 2022. There, he investigated MAPK signaling pathway using MD simulations and biophysical methods, with experience in protein purification and interaction analysis. In the autumn of 2022, he joined the Dikic group as a MS/PhD student through the IMPRS program of the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics in Frankfurt. He is currently working on computational and biophysical analyses of ER remodeling.
