IBC2 Director Ivan Đikić will be awarded the prestigious Theodor Bücher Medal from the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) in recognition of his outstanding achievements in biochemistry and molecular biology.

The Theodor Bücher Medal is awarded annually by FEBS to honor exceptional scientific contributions in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related disciplines. Ivan Đikić will receive the medal at the 50th FEBS Congress, taking place in Maastricht, the Netherlands, in July 2026.
As part of the award, he will deliver the FEBS Theodor Bücher Lecture, entitled “Guardians of cellular homeostasis: Ubiquitin–autophagy axis”, one of the plenary lectures of the Congress.
