25 Apr 2023 - Alexandra Stolz receives Exploration Grant from the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation
Alexandra Stolz, group leader at the Institute of Biochemistry II of Goethe University Frankfurt, received one of the prestigious Exploration Grants from the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation. Her project aims to identify small molecules with impact on selective autophagy pathways that can be subsequently developed into potential drugs for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
With its Exploration Grants, the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation aims to provide outstanding scientists doing basic research in biology, chemistry, and medicine with the opportunity to explore new areas of research at an early stage of their careers. The grants thus enable junior research group leaders to pursue new ideas or follow-up surprising findings that have the potential to broaden or reorient their research profile.
