12 Nov 2025 - Ivan Đikić Recognized as Highly Cited Researcher for the 8th Consecutive Year

For the eighth consecutive year, IBC2 Director Ivan Đikić has been named as a Highly Cited Researcher, recognizing his outstanding influence in the life sciences. His research papers have ranked among the most cited from 2014 to 2024 in the two categories “Biology and Biochemistry” and “Molecular Biology and Genetics”, as recorded by Web of Science.

The Highly Cited Researchers list, published annually by Clarivate, is based on data from the Web of Science citation database. The 2025 edition has designated 6,868 researchers across disciplines such as science, engineering, medicine, business, economics and social sciences with only 263 scientists being recognized in two categories. 

These researchers are honored for their significant achievements, particularly through highly cited papers published in journals indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded™ and the Social Sciences Citation Index™. As in the prevoius year, Germany ranks fourth worldwide, after the USA, Minland China and the UK, in terms of the number of recognized scientists.
